**What is the Escapees Peterson Award?
Escapees RV Club: The Spirit of Caring and Sharing
Escapees RV Club was founded in 1978 to connect RVers and provide a community of support through the unique challenges of the RV lifestyle. Building and strengthening this community has remained our primary focus for decades. Over time, this mission inspired an often-used phrase among our members: “caring and sharing.” We adopted this as a core value, reflecting our members’ passion for both the RVing lifestyle and supporting one another.
The Peterson Spirit Award
As we celebrate over four decades of serving RVers, we honor the spirit of our founders, Joe and Kay Peterson, and the deep sense of community fostered through caring and sharing. To uphold this legacy, we created the Peterson Spirit Award, a prestigious honor for Escapees members who go above and beyond to support a fellow RVer in need.
