Harvest Hosts offers a seamless process for redeeming, managing, and applying gifted memberships and gift codes. This article explains how gifted memberships work, how new and existing members can redeem gift codes, and how credits from these codes are applied during renewals or upgrades.
What Happens with Gifted Memberships?
Gifted memberships in Harvest Hosts do not automatically renew. Once the term of the gifted membership ends, the account associated with the gifted membership will close unless further action is taken to extend it.
How to Redeem a Gift Code
The process for redeeming a gift code depends on whether you are a new or existing member:
1. For New Members
To redeem a gift code as a new member, follow these steps:
Visit the Gift Code Redemption Link.
Click the “Redeem Your Gift Code” button.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the sign-up process.
If your email address is already in the system, log in to finalize your setup.
2. For Existing or Canceled Members
Existing or canceled members can redeem gift codes manually. Here’s how:
Contact the Harvest Hosts support team and provide them with the gift code.
A support agent will redeem it manually and apply the value of the gift code as credit to your account. - These credits will automatically apply to future renewals or upgrades until the credit amount is fully exhausted.
How Credits from Gift Codes Work
Once a gift code is redeemed and applied to your account, the associated credits are handled automatically by the Harvest Hosts billing system:
Automated Credit Application for Renewals: When your membership comes up for renewal, credits will automatically be applied toward the renewal cost. This process continues until the total credit balance is exhausted.
Upgrades and Billing Details: Credits from gift codes can also be used for membership upgrades. Note that while these credits are stored and applied automatically, they may not be visibly displayed in the Membership Details section of your account.
No Additional Action Required: Users don’t need to take any further steps once the gift code credits are added—the system handles the deduction process for applicable transactions.
