The majority of Harvest Hosts locations do not offer hookups, such as electricity or water. For this reason, we require all Members to be self-contained. We understand that in hot weather it would be nice to have electricity, and most Hosts are amenable to allowing reasonable use of generators during a visit.

You will notice that some of the Hosts will mention on their profile page that hook-ups are available. Some provide this complimentary (usually electric) and others have an optional (but not required to use) hook-up available for a small charge.

We provide a search filter on the Discover Map to allow members to search for Hosts that offer Hookups. This filter applies to Hosts in both Harvest Hosts and Boondockers Welcome.

We have added special callouts to help identify Hosts that offer Hookups. Members will be able to see if Hookups are offered on the Host Card that pops up when a Host icon is clicked on the Discover map.
