What does it mean when a host location is inactive or deactivated, and how can it be reactivated?

Understanding Inactive or Deactivated Host Locations and Steps for Reactivation

Host locations on Harvest Hosts may become inactive or be deactivated for various reasons. This guide explains what these statuses mean, their impact, and how you can reactivate your host location if required.

What Does It Mean When a Host Location is Inactive or Deactivated?

When a host location is set to inactive or deactivated, it signifies that the location is currently unavailable for listings or hosting. This has two primary effects:

  • Removal from Visibility: Once deactivated, the host location will no longer appear on the Harvest Hosts map.

  • Search Impact: It will also be removed from member searches, making it inaccessible to potential visitors.

This status can occur if:

  • The host owner manually opts to set their location as inactive.

  • The location requires updates or operational changes

What Happens After Deactivation or Inactivity?

When your host location is set to inactive or deactivated:

  1. It will no longer appear on the Harvest Hosts map, rendering it invisible to members navigating for active hosts.

  2. Your hosting status is effectively paused but can be reactivated by following the proper steps.

How to Reactivate Your Host Location
