Some Hosts may notice that when viewing their listing publicly (while logged out of their account), certain details appear different or incomplete. This is expected behavior and part of how Harvest Hosts protects Host privacy while encouraging membership sign-ups.
This article explains what you’re seeing and how your profile appears to Members.
Why Your Public Profile Looks Different
What you’re seeing is the public version of the Harvest Hosts map, which is designed specifically for non-members.
This version intentionally limits certain details, including:
Your business name may appear as a general category, such as “Harvest Hosts Winery” instead of your actual business name
Your exact address is not displayed
The map pin is slightly offset and only shows a general area, not your exact location
These limitations help protect your privacy and ensure that only active Members can view full Host details.
How Your Profile Appears to Members
When a user is logged in as a Member on Harvest Hosts, your profile will display:
Your real business name
Your exact location
Your full description and listing details
Members also have access to search filters and tools that allow them to find Hosts based on location, amenities, and preferences, ensuring your listing is discoverable and accurate within the Member experience.
Want to see what your profile would look like as a non-member?
Simply log out of your account, head to the Host map at harvesthost.com, search for your location, and click on your Host icon. This will show you how your profile appears to visitors who are not signed in. This will show you the limited, public-facing version of your listing.
Things to Keep in Mind
Your full and accurate listing is always visible to logged-in Members
The public version is intentionally limited to protect your privacy
Members can search and find your location using accurate tools and filters
The public view is not a reflection of how your listing appears to active Members
If you have any concerns about how your profile appears, our Host Experience team is happy to help.
