Requests - Can I change the dates of a Stay Request?

Yes, if a Member contacts you to request a change in the dates of their approved Stay Request, you can make that change in our system by going directly into that request and editing the dates. Additionally, Members can now also edit the dates of their Stay Request.

Important: Changing the dates of a Stay Request will update your calendar and remove a parking spot from your inventory for the appropriate days so that you avoid accidentally having too many guests for the number of RV spots available.


Hosts Changing Stay Dates

Log in to the website, click on Stays in the top menu, and locate the Stay Request that requires a date change in your Pending or Upcoming Stays list.

Pro Tip: Changing the dates on a Pending Stay Request will automatically Approve the Stay when you save the date change.

Click on the Stay Request to open the Stay Details page. Then click on the Change Date button at the top right corner of the Stay Dates section. This feature is available for both Pending and Approved Stay Requests.

This will open a window allowing you to change the dates by selecting a new start and end date for the Stay. Click the Change Dates button at the bottom to save the changes.

Pro Tip: Be sure to check your Blocked Dates as you consider changing the dates of a Stay Request to add Extra Nights. Your Blocked Dates will not show in this date window.

Please verify the Date changes in the next window, add additional notes as a reminder why you changed the Dates, and click the Change and Approve button.

It is good practice to also verify the new dates by viewing them at the top of the Stay Details page again and on the Stay Calendar.


Members Changing Stay Dates

Members can now also edit the dates of an approved Stay Request directly in the Harvest Hosts system, as long as your calendar shows availability. If a Member updates their dates and they no longer work for you, you can always contact them directly through the messaging system to coordinate next steps.

Notification

When a Member updates their dates, you will receive a clear notification that says “Member updated their stay dates.” The notification will clearly show:

  • Old dates → New dates

  • Any change in length of stay

In most cases, no action is required from you.

Restrictions

Members cannot edit their stay dates within two days of arrival. If the stay is within two days, the Member will be unable to make changes in the system and must contact you directly to request adjustments.

Host Opt Out

Hosts can opt out of this feature if it doesn’t work for their Hosting location - contact your Host Experience Manager.
