We’re excited to introduce Hosting Days, a new setting for BW Hosts that gives you more control over when Members can request to stay at your location.
With Hosting Days, you can quickly choose which days of the week you’re open to hosting — making it easier to manage requests and align hosting with your schedule.
How Hosting Days Work
By default, all days of the week are turned on for hosting. This means Members can request stays on any day unless you choose to turn a day off.
If there are certain days you’re regularly unavailable — for example, if you’re closed on Mondays or your busiest day is Saturday — you can simply uncheck that day in your Hosting Days settings.
When a day is turned off, Members will not be able to request a stay for that day.
Hosting Days vs. Hosting Calendar
You can think of Hosting Days as a weekly availability setting, similar to blocking dates on your calendar.
Hosting Days control your recurring weekly availability (e.g., closed every Monday).
Calendar blocks control specific dates you want to make unavailable (e.g., a holiday, event, or vacation).
Using both together helps ensure your availability is always accurate and reduces the need to decline requests.
Note: If you already have dates blocked on your calendar, those will remain blocked. Hosting Days will not override your existing calendar blocks, and those dates will still appear unavailable to Members.
How to Update Your Hosting Days
Updating your hosting schedule only takes a few seconds:
Go to your Host Dashboard
Find the Hosting Days section
Click Edit
Check the days you’re open to hosting
Uncheck any days you’re unavailable
Click Save
Why This Helps Hosts
Hosting Days helps you:
✔ Reduce unwanted stay requests
✔ Automatically block days you're closed
✔ Set clear expectations for Members
✔ Spend less time managing availability manually
We recommend taking a moment to review your Hosting Days settings to make sure they match your regular schedule.
