Harvest Hosts offers a clear refund policy to ensure customer satisfaction. Below is a comprehensive guide to understanding the refund terms, eligibility, and process.
Overview of the Refund Policy
Harvest Hosts provides refunds under specific conditions, as outlined in the Terms & Conditions (Section 5) and the Happy Camper Guarantee. Refunds are limited to one per account subscription and are processed back to the original payment method.
Refund Eligibility Criteria
Unused Memberships:
Harvest Hosts & Boondockers Welcome memberships - If you have not used your membership (with no more than 1 completed stay) and purchased it within the last 90 days, you may request a refund.
Escapees memberships - Escapees-only memberships are eligible for a refund within 30 days of purchase.
Renewals: Refunds for automatically renewed memberships are available if requested within 30 days of the renewal date, provided no stays have been completed since the renewal.
One-Time Refund Policy: Refunds are a one-time courtesy during the initial subscription period. If you reactivate your account or open a new account after receiving a refund, no additional refunds will be issued.
Refund Process and Timeline
Request Submission: Refunds are not automatic. You must submit a written request explaining your eligibility and reason within the eligible timeframe.
Processing Time: Once approved, refunds are issued in the original transaction currency and amount charged (USD), leave our system within 24 hours, and typically take 5–7 business days to post to your account. If processed on the same day as the charge, the transaction may void the original charge instead of posting as a separate credit. This is a standard practice in payment processing and does not indicate an error or issue with the refund process.
Confirmation: You will receive an email confirmation, which may include a PDF Credit Note for your records.
Special Cases
Reactivations: Accounts reactivated after receiving a refund are not eligible for additional refunds.
Gift Memberships: Gift subscriptions are non-refundable.
App Store Purchases: Purchases made through the Apple App Store are subject to Apple's refund policies and must be requested directly through Apple.
Legacy Pricing: Members who receive a refund will forfeit any legacy or grandfathered pricing. Any future membership purchase will be charged at the rates available at the time of reactivation.
Memberships with Upgrades: If a new membership includes an upgrade, refunds for the upgrade may be processed separately, with separate email confirmations sent.
Prorated Refunds for Membership Adjustments: Refunds for downgrades or switching plans are calculated based on the unused portion of the membership term. Adjustments account for the price difference between the original and new plans.
International Refunds: Currency exchange rate fluctuations may result in differences between the refunded amount and the amount received by your financial institution.
Member Removal: Members removed from the program for violations of our Terms & Conditions or community standards are not eligible for refunds.

FAQs on Refunds
Can I get a refund for a canceled membership after one month of use? No, refunds are not provided for annual memberships that have been used, regardless of the duration of use.
What happens if I request a refund for an auto-renewal? Refunds for auto-renewals are processed as a one-time courtesy. If processed on the same day, the charge may appear as expired rather than refunded.
What is the Happy Camper Guarantee? This guarantee allows you to request a refund within the first three months of your membership purchase when you have had one or fewer stays if it doesn’t meet your expectations.
What if a Refund is not possible? If a refund is not possible and the auto-renewal feature is turned off, your membership benefits remain accessible until the term's end. Memberships can be canceled anytime in the Member Dashboard or by contacting support.
Why does a same-day refund appear as a voided or expired charge on my statement? When a refund is processed on the same day as the original transaction, it often voids the original charge instead of being posted as a separate refund credit. This means that on your statement, the transaction may appear as an "expired" or "voided" charge rather than a distinct refund. This is a standard practice in payment processing and does not indicate an error or issue with the refund process. Depending on your bank or card issuer, the voided transaction may be labeled as "expired," "voided," or "reversed." For example, if you cancel a subscription and request a refund on the same day the charge was made, the refund will likely void the original charge. On your statement, you might see the charge marked as "voided" or "expired," with no additional refund credit listed. This reflects the cancellation of the original transaction rather than a separate refund being issued.
By adhering to these guidelines, Harvest Hosts ensures a transparent and customer-friendly refund process.

If your event is still within the refund request window (date range) you may request that to be completed by emailing registration@escapees.com.
